The Northern Woods Exhibition is in the past now.  While I did not come away with any awards this year, I did have the opportunity to meet a lot of great people with an appreciation for my Shaker Sisters' Sewing Desk.  Attached is a photo of how it looked at the exhibit.

With that event in the past it's time to move on to the "Design and Build Expo" being staged at the Old School Arts Center in Sandstone, MN.  That will occur over the Memorial Day weekend.  The idea is to have a number of fine furniture makers show their pieces and how they came about to design and build them.  Students from the area, both high school and trade school students will be visiting the exhibit on Friday, with public viewing Friday night and Saturday.

I'll be taking a couple of my Shaker rocking chairs, and many of the jigs and fixtures used to construct them, to the exhibit so I can educate people on the process.
